Whether it's hiking in summer or skiing in winter, Olympiaregion Seefeld
always has a lot to offer to keep you active.

Summer

The Olympiaregion Seefeld – a paradise for every outdoor sports – is the location of the Alpenlodge in Leutasch.

The mountain ranges of the Karwendel, respectively the Wetterstein mountain ranges, hold more than 650 km tagged hiking, mountain and fixed-rope routes for an intensive experience of nature. Biking enthusiasts can use the 570 km of cycle lanes, no matter if you are looking for a comfortable tour along the Ache or a challenge at the Karwendel. Even if some destinations seem quite far away, with our e-bikes they are just a stone's throw away.

Jogger and trail runner, climbing enthusiasts and golf player get their money's worth as well.

In both the swimming baths in Seefeld and in Leutasch and also in the numerous crystal clear mountain lakes throughout the region you can find relaxation and refreshing cooling.

In addition to that you can expect cottages and alpine pastures waiting for your visit and offering you pleasurable local products.

Winter

The Olympiaregion is the nordic centre of the Alps – the 280 km of cross-country ski tracks indicate highest quality. No matter if you are a beginner or an ambitious free time runner – the possibilities are endless. Big events like the Nordic Combined Triple or the "Ganghoferlauf" are organized, next to lessons about the latest training techniques given by former world-class athletes at skiing schools. Not for nothing was the Nordic Ski World Championship held in Seefeld in 2019.

But also skiers can enjoy their passion on the beautiful mountains and who fancies a bit more of a romantic touch can drive along one of the hiking tracks with a horse-drawn carriage or a traditional sledge.

Most of the cottages and alpine pastures are hosting even in winter. As a result the cosiness rises with the snow falling outside while you spend your time drinking mulled wine and hot punch. In any case during our weekly sledging-evenings making a stop at one of the cottages a must!

There are also places you can easily reach either by bus or by train.

The Swarovski Crystal Worlds, the Bavarian royal palaces or Germany's highest mountain, the Zugspitze, are only a few of the highlights.
